Technology Assessment Profile The Technology Assessment Profile (TAP) allows DBM Associates to quickly baseline your company’s Information Technology (IT) status in most functional areas, and compares them to industry-accepted “Best Practices”. This assessment will allow you, the client, an introspective look at where your IT investment dollars are going currently and, perhaps, where they should be, relative to your business objectives. The TAP also uncovers areas of concern, both previously known to management and oftentimes some that were unknown. This provides you a proactive method to review if your business is at risk for down time due to hardware failure, software issues or problems stemming from ineffective security measures. The current version of TAP is a full client server based tool, which a DBM consultant uses to interview you and your IT staff in a structured format. The information is stored in a database using both open-ended and multi-state push button responses. Immediately following the interview, DBM can produce a written recap of the information asked and collected, as well as prioritizing any “hot” issues you may want immediately addressed. A comprehensive analysis and recommended action plan is then provided as a follow-up.
